Mrs. Fall brings over forty-nine years of professional work experience to her agency: nursing supervision, community service, public health, counseling, education, and research and care management.  She received her nursing degree from Simmons College and completed post graduate programs at Boston University.  After receiving her Masters' Degree in Community Health Education & Gerontology from Old Dominion University she became Board Certified in Gerontology.  Mrs. Fall has received the 2005 Women in Business Achievement Award along with the 2006 Bon Secours Senior Hero Award.

Marilyn C. Fall, who heads a Virginia agency called Elder Care at Home, Inc., and The Caregivers, helped put Virginia Stage Company in touch with interviewees in preparation for the modern application of King Lear.  In her view, the production could spark the kind of frank family discussions that may avert end-of-life crises.  "When parents are healthy, it's a subject that nobody wants to address," she says.  "When the crisis occurs, the dynamics of family, healthy or unhealthy, come to the fore."  By broaching the topic in advance, she says, the production "is doing a great service to the community."
