Our Professional Services What you can expect when you contact Elder Care At Home, Inc., and The Caregivers
- When you call the ECAH office, you will be greeted by one of the office staff who will ask a series of questions to help determine the care we can provide for you and your family, while answering basic questions about our charges and care.
- A Registered Nurse will make a follow-up telephone call to schedule an appointment for an assessment of your family member. The RN will come to the home/residential location of your family member and meet with all concerned with the care of the client. A thorough explanation of all consents, contracts, forms, client rights and expectations will be done by the RN for those involved with the potential client.
- The RN will ask many questions in order to obtain a complete medical, physical, and emotional "picture" of the client. The more information the RN can have, the better care ECAH can provide.
- A Plan of Care will be developed by the RN, the client, and the family based on the number of hours requested for care. The Plan of Care can include, bathing, dressing, preparing and assisting with meals, light housekeeping, laundry, and giving medication reminders for example. Each Plan of Care is individually developed and is reviewed regularly by the RN Supervisor.
- ECAH provides as few as four (4) hours a day and as many as twenty-four (24) daily. ECAH does have a minimum of twelve (12) hours weekly. The RN Supervisor will see client on admission and every 30-90 days, depending on the client's needs and family request. The RN Supervisor will see the client as promptly as possible, if there has been a change in the client's status, for example hospital stays or an incident in the home, like a fall. The RN can assist with the management of the client's medications by filling medication boxes for a month (for an additional fee). RN Supervisor can assist with monitoring the client and contact the client's PCP if significant changes are noted with the client.
- ECAH has 24 hour availability to an on-call Supervisor, so each client can be assured that attention to their needs will be met in a timely fashion.
- We at ECAH provide quality care for clients and their families as we would our own family members.
